LERONTENIN

LERONTENIN is a tabletop game, designed by Akagat Satpathy in the year 2012. The object of LERONTENIN is to move from 1st square to the last (98th) by using your seven given pieces as fast as possible from your opponent. LERONTENIN is an abstract strategy game.

1-Composition

Lerontenin depends on both board and score sheet.

How we have to fill the score sheet -
(a)- vertically- Select the move number.
       horizontally - select the piece which the player choose to play.                
(b)- By comparing both write whether the player has moved  piece  forward or backward in the box.
       Representation- 'F' if his piece had moved forward or 'B' if it moves backward.
(c)- Write on which SQUARE of the board the piece is now present after the move.
(d)- Special- In case of the piece named "SINGLE" the no of times the piece has moved by the player should be written.      

2-Their are two players in the game named as LIGHT & DARK.

(C)-PIECES-There are 14 Pieces present in the game, each player having 7 pieces. The pieces will be in the shape of SEMI SPHERE and will be identified on the basis of their color and the letter written over it. The color of the pieces will be the seven different colors of the rainbow starting from VIOLET to RED. L and D are the letters which will be written over the pieces and L represents the the player having LIGHT pieces and D represents the player having DARK pieces.
  Each player have seven own pieces namely SINGLE,DOUBLE,TRIPLE,QUAD,PENT,HEX,HEP.

* The pieces are-
1-SINGLE-This piece is represented by VIOLET color.
  Process to move the piece ''SINGLE"
(i) - On each move it can proceed forward by 1 (one) step.
(ii) - It has also the power to proceed forward from 2 to 7 steps depending upon the  remainder obtained by dividing the No.of times the piece has been moved by the player with 7 
     Special- If remainder obtained will be zero(0) then the piece can proceed 7 steps forward.

2-DOUBLE-This piece can move two steps forward in each move.It is represented by INDIGO color.
3-TRIPLE- It can move three steps forward in each move.It is represented by BLUE color.
4-QUAD-It can move four steps forward in each move.It is represented by GREEN color.

5-PENT- It can move five steps forward in each move.It is represented by YELLOW color.

6-HEX-It can move six steps forward in each move.It is represented by ORANGE color.

7-HEP-It can move seven steps forward in each move.It is represented by RED color.

SETUP AND PLACEMENT

All the pieces will be set outside the Board before the game starts.

(D)-CLOCK-
This game can be played without a TIME PERIOD or for a particular TIME PERIOD. eg-1 hour,2 hours,3 hours,4 hours etc.

2-BASIC GAME CONCEPT


Capacity- It states that a piece cannot be played again until the number of moves the piece has been proceed is not over after it. So capacity is the power of a piece to stop the same piece of opponent player to stop proceeding for some numbers of moves. 

1- The first move will be given by the player having LIGHT pieces.(any piece of his choice). After that the player having DARK pieces will have the move. The player can proceed any piece other than the piece whose capacity is not yet over.


2 - If in the game continuous backward moves from 'Hep' to 'Single' will be given means-Hep,,Hex,Pent,Quad,Triple,Double,Single in 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th move then the game will be declared as Drawn.

3-The aim of the Player is to reach the end square of the Board by all of his pieces.The one who will first complete this process will be declared as the winner of the game. Conversely,in case of time controlled game,when the time is divided among the two players equally,the player covering the maximum no. square by all of his pieces within the given time will be declared as the winner. In case no piece of either of the players has reached the end square in the specified time period, the game will be declared as won by the player who has his time left as against the player who has completely lost his time.

4-DIVISION- As we know there are 98 squares present in this game and some pieces like triple,quad,pent,hex will not be able to reach the 98th square as 98 is not divisible by them. So,for this purpose when any of the pieces from triple,quad,pent,hex will reach to the closest square before the 98th square, then it will be permitted to divide this single piece into two different pieces whose sum will be equal to this single piece say 'A and B'. After that those two pieces have to return back by that number of squares as the new pieces have the power to move. It will be counted as a move at that point.One has to properly mention it in the Score sheet,so that it will be helpful for him in future steps.

5-In the game obstacle has to be created for one's opponent and it will be possible only when the piece of the opponent is captured.e.g.If a piece is in the 80th square of the Board and opponent's any piece also reaches the same square,then the first piece has to come back to the number of squares as it has the power to move and it will be counted as a STEP. In case the 'SINGLE' piece of the opponent is captured,then it has to come back by the number of steps that it has the power to move at that time.

6-When a piece comes backward by the above process then that piece cannot be played again until the capacity of the piece is not over for the player whose piece was that but the same piece can be played by his opponent.
